CIANNA is a versatile framework for developing, training, and deploying artificial neural network models across a wide range of architectures. This tool is primarily designed to address the needs and constraints of the astrophysics community. The framework enables the creation of high-performance models, addressing the methodological and technical challenges arising from the rapid growth of astronomical data.
This workshop marks the launch of what we hope will become an annual gathering for the CIANNA user community. This first edition aims at presenting recent scientific use cases, introducing new features added to the software, and identifying new development priorities to meet community needs. A key objective of this first edition is to establish a strategy for structuring the user community and building efficient communication canals between users and developers.
The workshop is open to all, but will be of particular interest to current CIANNA users as well as those considering adopting the framework and seeking to become familiar with its capabilities. Prior experience with neural network development using platforms such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is strongly recommended.
The program will be structured over two days:
Day 1: Scientific presentations of projects that integrate CIANNA as a tool, along with discussions on recent and upcoming developments.
Day 2: Hands-on sessions and demonstrations. Dedicated support will be planned to help new users get familiar with the tool.
For this first edition, we will prioritize local interactions with people who are able to travel to the Paris Observatory. A broadcast may be set up (for the first day only) if it is highly demanded or if we reach the maximum capacity.
